We have a solution for you.

Use a DVI to HDMI cable.

If your HD TV has a HDMI input you can get a cable that goes from DVI to HDMI. Unfortunately a DVI to HDMI cable won't be able to carry audio out from your computer to the TV, but there is a solution for that below.

DVI to HDMI cable
Connect the DVI end of the cable to your computer and the HDMI end to your TV. DVI to HDMI cables come in various lengths. Select a cable that is long enough to comfortably reach from your computer to your TV.

Since the DVI to HDMI cable cannot carry audio from your computer to the TV you will need to decide which of the following options will work for you.
  1. You can use the computer's speakers.
  2. If your TV has RCA audio inputs paired with the HDMI input then a 3.5mm to RCA audio cable will do the job.
  3. If you have a home theater you can use a 3.5mm to RCA audio cable to play your computer's audio.
Consult the user's manual for your TV and home theater to decide what your best option is.
