Look at the back or sides of your laptop computer to see what video outputs are available. Many laptops will have VGA and S-Video output and maybe a DVI or HDMI output.

S-Video. Separated Video or Super Video. For the technical details follow this link to Wikipedia. S-Video is the easiest way to way to connect a laptop to a CRT TV.
